Mark & Jess contacted me with an idea for a session in Boulder, CO and I couldn’t have been more excited. ” I went to CU!” I told them. They told me how they met while attending Engineering classes at CU Boulder. A little while later, well you know, here we are blogging they’re engagement session! So to say I was smitten with the idea of photographing a couple on my beloved CU Boulder campus is an understatement. This campus holds so near and dear to my heart, after all, it’s the reason I chose to go to Boulder, lol. *tiny side story- I fell deeply in love with CU Boulder’s campus when I was 18 and visited Boulder for the first time.*
We finished up on Flagstaff mountain and took it down to the infamous Chautauqua Park. We quickly strolled around for a few and before we finished I mentioned how cool it’d be to go to campus to finish our shoot!! Mark says how he thinks it’d be cool to get a photograph in front of the Engineering Building. Since that’s where they met, and it’s a pretty iconic building if I do say so myself. I mean, that whole campus blows me away with it’s beauty but that’s besides the point.. They wanted a couple shots on campus, so off we went! I was beside myself with excitement. We get to campus and it’s like a ghost town, a rare sight on this campus. It was a gorgeous, and I mean epically gorgeous, Colorado evening in Boulder and there was barely a soul on campus. Once we start walking around we realize it’s two days before move ins start. We had hit the jackpot, ladies and gentlemen. If you thought I was on cloud nine before just imagine how that sky rocketed when I found a practically empty campus.
I hope you enjoy these takes from their amazing Boulder, CO Engagement shoot.!
