In March I had the privilege to visit Japan. It was my husband and I’s 3rd wedding anniversary and we decided to do it big and cross off a huge destination off our bucket list. He had saved up a ton of points at IHG hotels from work travel so we used those to pay for our lodging which was very nice to have. After paying for our Japan Rail Pass we budgeted $2,000 for ourselves while we were there. We exchanged it all and just had plain fun. We didn’t do anything too extravagant except a for a wonderful Yakiniku dinner on our anniversary night in Tokyo. It was a lovely little place just out the doors of the Ana Intercontinental Tokyo, the hotel where we stayed. But we did find ourselves in the Kawaii Monster Cafe while we checked out Harajuku which isn’t a cheap meal. We were able to spend a total of 8 days exploring Kyoto, Osaka, Kanazawa, and Tokyo. It was truly an amazing trip that I could talk about for hours, we’re already planning TWO trips back. But for now I’ll just leave you a tiny little snippet into our trip! I hope you get to visit this magnificent land and culture one day.
