This beautiful Fall wedding was one of my first on my own outside of my internship or second shooting for another photographer. I did it free of charge as it was portfolio building for me. The bride had another photographer friend there who was also shooting for free so much of the pressure was relieved since there were two of us to capture the day. I’m so blessed to have been given the opportunity to capture this gorgeous wedding at The Ranch House Ken Caryl. It was my first time visiting this venue and it’s a great spot for weddings. They have plenty of space on the grounds to have a spread out day. The backyard lawn is large and great for outdoor ceremonies. The trees turn golden yellow in the Fall for a beautiful backdrop. Inside the ranch house they have a lower portion that could be used for either the cocktail hour or reception space. They also have an upstairs space with vaulted ceilings a wooden pilings. The lower portion has better natural light but if your reception will go into the night then that factor doesn’t play much of a part.
