As a Colorado hiking engagement photographer I have some favorite locations and Lake Isabelle is definitely one of them. It’s an easy hike in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area that you can usually find some solitude at during sunrise and sunset. The unique vantage that you get of Shoshoni peak makes Lake Isabelle one of the most recognizable lakes. If you’re looking to check out Lake Isabelle or anywhere in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area you’ll just need a parking reservation for the area you’re looking to explore.
