Best Photography Locations Near Denver
This is a list of some of my favorite photography locations near Denver. These are some of the locations I suggest when a drive to the mountains just isn’t in the cards. Denver has lots of gorgeous parks and open spaces. And some really unique locations like RiNo. I don’t work in the city a ton but every now and then I have so much fun on an urban adventure.

City Park
Location: just east of Denver’s city center
Best time of year: Spring & Fall

Location: just west of Denver’s city center
Best time of year: Spring & Fall
Permit: no permit for under 5 people & no props

Location: on the east side of the city

Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge
Location: just northeast of Denver
Best time of year: all year round
Permit: no permit – not allowed to sell sessions here

Prospect Park
Location: just west of Denver along i70
Best time of year: all year round

Location: in Golden not far off i70 along Clear Creek
