Cris & Ro’s Mountain Adventure Elopement with Guests on Flagstaff Mountain
When Rohan told me that he wanted to bring his fiance to Colorado to elope on top of a mountain in a few months, I quickly jumped into action. This was the first real elopement that I’d get to photograph and help plan so I was excited! A few of their closest friends came along on the trip making for the best party ever.
Cris made the most beautiful bride. She wore a simple, flowy white dress Lulus.com and a cute faux fur shawl. She made the flowers and boutonnieres herself with an array of Whole Foods and King Soopers flowers we picked up the night before the wedding. The cake was a perfect little cake they had for sale in Kim and Jake’s Cakes in Boulder, CO. She decorated it with flowers on the spot at dinner and it was perfect. The whole day made for the perfect elopement as I got to watch the love that poured into it from all directions. My girl Pauline from PLC Mobile Beauty came and hooked Cris up, too!
Pearl Street in Boulder is the perfect spot to find dinner and finish off your elopement
The day before their elopement we got together to check out a few mountain spots for their ceremony. Then we headed down into Boulder for dinner on Pearl Street. We happened upon this little Louisiana style restaurant and everyone agreed the menu sounded delicious. Once our waitress learned what we were doing in Boulder she told us about their private speakeasy in the basement. We told them we were looking for a spot for them to all have dinner the next day after the ceremony they invited us back. And they graciously offered up their private speakeasy for the first dance, cake cutting and toasts free of charge. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed a few years later so I’ve taken the broken link to it down.
