Shelly & Jason got married in a gorgeous mountain elopement in Golden, Colorado. It was just the right amount of adventure, family and love. Their only guest was Desi, Jason’s daughter and Shelly’s soon to be step daughter. At the end of their ceremony they had Desi join them, after which Shelly made a special vow to Desi as her step mother. It was such a beautiful part of the day.
Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado was the perfect location for them because they had a few requirements. They didn’t want to go super far into the mountains. We needed to pretty much be able to drive up to the spot with little hiking involved. And we needed a close location with some mountain views that we could park their white vintage volkswagen beetle that they had just bought.
Shelly’s jumpsuit and hair piece from David’s Bridal, and her shoes are notoriously comfy Rothy’s ballet flats.
Golden, Colorado is only 30 minutes from Denver. It’s got that Colorado charm with its old mountain town vibes and that adventurous spirit you feel when you get there. It’s definitely one of the gateways into the Rocky Mountains as it’s nestled just of i70 at the base of the foothills.
