Ouray, Colorado Elopement Photographer | 4×4 Adventure Elopement in The san juan mountain range of Colorado

I had the pleasure of getting to second shoot this adventurous elopement in the San Juan Mountains just outside of Ouray, Colorado with Savannah Chandler. We met up with Andrea & Richard just outside of town for their first look. Then we headed up the side a mountain in the Jeep to Governor’s Basin for their vow exchange. They had their bestest bud Jake Daniels there to witness the whole thing and sign their marriage license. In Colorado, you can self solemnize so you don’t need any human witnesses or an officiant. And anyone can sign your license including your fur baby. Jake was one of the main reasons behind their elopement day. As they couldn’t imagine getting married without him by their side and they just didn’t know how much longer he’d be around. He ran around the mountains like a pup and loved every bit of being witness to his momma marrying his dad.

After their gorgeous ceremony with champagne to celebrate, we headed down the mountain to a final location where they enjoyed a charcuterie board picnic next to a gorgeous cascading waterfall. Then they finished off the night with a first dance under the sunset and only a few deer in attendance.
