Chatfield Farms Intimate Wedding in Colorado
When Sam & John reached out they knew they wanted to have their wedding day at Chatfield Farms in Littleton, Colorado. They had their first date in the corn maze there and knew they wanted some of their wedding photos to be where they started in this journey of love. Sam’s grandfather is in a wheelchair and Chatfield Farms schoolhouse is wheelchair accessible and close to the parking lot. It was a very small guest list with just their close families there. In the schoolhouse, they had their reception and their ceremony under the tree on the deck just outside. It was the perfect space for them to get married, dine and dance to celebrate! With the perfect access for her grandfather and their major connection to the corn maze, Chatfield Farms was the perfect location for their intimate wedding
Sam wore her mother’s dress that had been repurposed and her veil. They chose matching black and white Dr. Martens to be able to tromp around the grounds no problem. Sam had even decorated her’s with a row of small pearls around the sole.
Having a tiny wedding didn’t stop these two and their families from a wedding party! They drank, they toasted, they danced and even kept some of their Jewish traditions. We were having so much fun they had to kick us out. It truly was the perfect day and really epitomizes why big weddings just aren’t meant for everyone. There was no denying that this day was perfect for them. It’s one of the (many) reasons why I love intimate weddings and elopements so much. People can deep dive into who they are and what they want their wedding day to represent. They’re capable of being so much more intentional.
